President Trump Led With Transparency, His Endorsed Candidates Should Follow Suit

One Million Dollar Debate Challenge Deadline Passes With No Reply

Flowery Branch, GA: Monday’s deadline came and went, but the Clark Campaign received no reply from Herschel Walker on Josh Clark’s Million Dollar Debate Challenge.

“With only a week left in this Senate primary, Herschel has continued to snub public forums,” said Josh Clark, candidate for U.S. Senate. “This is a costly mistake that will only damage our state. Not only has Herschel refused to submit to the transparency voters want from elected officials, but he’s decided not to take advantage of funding several fantastic Georgia-based charities. More central to our election, however, are the glaring inconsistencies between President Donald Trump and some of his endorsed candidates for office.

“Trump was the most transparent candidate of our time. He sparred with the press, took questions from the public, and never hesitated to interact with voters at debates, events, or on Twitter. Herschel’s boycotting of debates and public forums looks a lot more like Joe Biden hiding in his basement than the strong campaigner and leader we had in President Trump. I am imploring Donald Trump to ask Herschel to follow his lead! Americans demand transparency from their candidates. You have to get out and tackle the tough questions from the voters.”

“In fact, “another of Trump’s endorsees is facing a tough challenge today in Pennsylvania,” Clark continued. “Mehmet Oz is far from a movement conservative. He has a very long and public history of being against the pro-life cause and our core family values. Kathy Barnette, however, has surged ahead in the polls and is poised to take the primary victory today with her unashamed pro-life position and her willingness to address the issues. I am excited for Kathy’s surge in Pennsylvania and I hope and pray that today’s results show the thoughtful independence of conservative voters. I have to say, her candidacy looks a whole lot more like President Trump than Dr. Oz’s does.”

Clark concluded, “Voters know a strong, values-based candidate when they see one. Herschel and Oz ought to take notice! Republican primary voters aren’t easily duped by faking conservative campaign points or just plain hiding from the voters. You can’t in good faith ask for the public’s trust if you’re unwilling to be open and honest with them in the process. President Trump: ask Herschel to step out into the light and debate while there’s still time in Georgia!”
